Samantha+Tanya's group:

They will be doing a performance video for a song. the presentation was not well planned because the slides changed in a way which they did not plan them to. only one person was talking so it was not that good. they have looked up the risk assessments and they have tried to sort these out. the song which they are doing is sung by a boy band and they are girls so how are they going to perform this.

Bham's Group

why are they turing a girl into a boy? and what does this show. their motive is to show that the girls can do everything what a boy can do but why are they turing the girl into a boy.

Zak's group

Planning is terrible and does not follow on. song is not related it is not well planned out and i am still confused about what they are going to do for their video.

Today's lesson

Today we are going to make a pre production plans for our music video and we are going to see how we are going to carry the music video and who is going to do what for the music video, we are also going to finish our presentation and present it as a group. we are going to do our presentation on Prezi insted of Microsoft powerpoint because rezi is more apporitate for this and it is going to look much better then Microsoft powerpoint.

Scheudule

We are going to plan how we are going to film the music video and when we are going to start the filming, we are going to finish our story board in approx. 2 hrs/lessons and then we are going to take pictures of the locations where we are going to film our music video.

we are going to take pictures of our locations and we are also going to try to finish off the storyboard.

in these lessons we are going to do the final verse which will include performance and narrative of the music video.

Todays lesson

in todays lessons we found out who's going to sing which bit of the lyrics and where the music video is going to be filmed and which effects are going to be used in our music video. we tried to take picture of our location but as the staff was busy we couldn't today.

The Song Beautiful Lasers

Today we are going to pick a narrative for our song Beautiful Lasers by Lupe Fiasco and we are going to decide what is going to be in our music video and how we are going to show the message of the song and what the music portrays and how it does portray it, we are also going to check the camera to check if it is suitable for our music video and how we can use the camera. we will also be using props in our music video to show the message of the song and we are going to show this by using BB guns to show what the author is trying to show with the song.

The camera angles we are going to use are:

We are going to film some scenes in the darkish lighting to show what the song is trying to show.

What we learnt

today we learnt how to make a moodboard and how to merge pictures together we have also planned for our storyboard and we thought about how we are going to plan the music video and how we are going to make it in the end, we also predicted how it is going to turn out and what music we are going with.

Today's Lesson

Today we are going to make a mood board for the lesson and we are going to use photoshop, after that we are going to start the storyboard for our music video

Change of plans

we have decided to change the song once again because we have found out that that song has a music video and now we have decided to change the song back to Beautiful lasers.

What i learnt today

Today we worked on the location and the risk assessment of our music and our main locations are theatre and the rooftop of the school the worst risk at the rooftop would be that if someone falls off while filming. and at the theatre the worst case scenario would be if we break anything and someone gets hurt. there also would be advantages to the locations where we are filming, we are also changing our song to chris brown (Freeze) because it would be more suitable for the dancing and the beat of the song is much more dynamic so it would be much better to sing to as well. 

We chose the rooftop location because we have seen it used in other videos and it looked good so we chose to do the same thing with our video and hopefully that would make it look good and professional music video.

Music Video Planning

Our video is going to be based on the song Lupe Fiasco Beautiful Lasers with me rapping and munashe dancing to the beat. the location we are going to do it is in the theatre because the lighting is good and there is big enough place for us to film and dance.  we have decided to film the rapping bit on top of the school building and we might use a green screen if one is available, we are also going to use effects with the lights and have a guitar for effects. today i have learnt how we can use effects and the music which we can use in our music video.
