Today we have planned to finish our music video as finishing it last lesson on monday, we are going to finish out editing today and that is the last step in finishing the music video.

Today we are going to  finish the editing on our music video and we are going to make sure that we use all of the right scenes in our video, we filmed the last scenes in the gym and munashe was doing his dance and we filmed him. we are going to put our video in black and white, because we think that that shows the motive of the music video the best. i think that our music video turned out pretty well because it suits the song perfectly.  we added a green screen effect on our music video.                                                                

Today's Lesson

Today we are going to edit our music video and we are trying to add the extra bits in and to make it look better by adding images and a video.

Rihanna- We Found Love ft. Calvin Harris Anylsis

The video is not continuos and the video has different scenes about every 2 seconds and they have done this to keep the attention of the viewers because the younger audience has a shorter attention span and the video is aimed at a teenage audience.
The video's purpose is to show that they love each other in the start and in the end they start arguing and then Rihanna walks out. the video also shows the same scenes in different periods of time to show what has changed in their relationship and how the arguing is effecting them. in the video there is a scene where there is red colour in a kind of black and white scene and this is done to show that there is colour in their love and near the end they have shown a burnt out cigarette and they have done this to show that all of the colour in their lives have faded away like a cigarette.

In the First picture it shows that their relationship is bright and colourful like fireworks and in the 2nd picture she is walking out of the door because of the arguments and fights

Today's Lesson

In today's lesson we'll be filming with the green screen and it will be Munashe dancing with the green screen behind him and we are going to use laser effects with the green screen to make the music video better.

Videos that Use green screens

There are a lot of videos which use green and blue screen and the difference between these is basically nothing because if the people who are in the video are wearing more blueish colours then green screen would be used for this because if a blue screen is used then the colours would disappear and the video wouldn't turn out to be good. the background of the green screen can be recorded from your camera or it can be found on the internet and the videos which i have seen use the effects such as running someone over with a car using a green screen and making fire come out of a car using the effects. i have also found out about colour keying, this is when the colours of the person in front of the green screen and the background is changed so that they seem similar to the colours which are used in the background/green screen.

The movies which use the green screen are avatar, in avatar nearly the whole movie is filmed in-front of a green screen and all of the effects and the charters are made up using a computer program and are shown using a green screen.  alot of music videos also use the green screen effects such as 'Chris Brown Freeze', this video uses the green screen as the back ground for the whole video. the music video 'Kanye west ft katy perry E.T' also uses the green screen throughout the whole of the music video.

Filming Rooftop

We filmed on the rooftop of the school and we filmed my part, we have also done the whole song, we did this just as a backup incase the narrative didn't work so we'd have something else to do in our video. in this scene kashif was the clipper, Haris Z was a director and Munashe was the camera man.

They will be doing a performance video for a song. the presentation was not well planned because the slides changed in a way which they did not plan them to. only one person was talking so it was not that good. they have looked up the risk assessments and they have tried to sort these out. the song which they are doing is sung by a boy band and they are girls so how are they going to perform this.

Bham's Group

why are they turing a girl into a boy? and what does this show. their motive is to show that the girls can do everything what a boy can do but why are they turing the girl into a boy.

Planning is terrible and does not follow on. song is not related it is not well planned out and i am still confused about what they are going to do for their video.

Today's lesson

Today we are going to make a pre production plans for our music video and we are going to see how we are going to carry the music video and who is going to do what for the music video, we are also going to finish our presentation and present it as a group. we are going to do our presentation on Prezi insted of Microsoft powerpoint because rezi is more apporitate for this and it is going to look much better then Microsoft powerpoint.

in todays lessons we found out who's going to sing which bit of the lyrics and where the music video is going to be filmed and which effects are going to be used in our music video. we tried to take picture of our location but as the staff was busy we couldn't today.

The Song Beautiful Lasers

Today we are going to pick a narrative for our song Beautiful Lasers by Lupe Fiasco and we are going to decide what is going to be in our music video and how we are going to show the message of the song and what the music portrays and how it does portray it, we are also going to check the camera to check if it is suitable for our music video and how we can use the camera. we will also be using props in our music video to show the message of the song and we are going to show this by using BB guns to show what the author is trying to show with the song.

What we learnt

today we learnt how to make a moodboard and how to merge pictures together we have also planned for our storyboard and we thought about how we are going to plan the music video and how we are going to make it in the end, we also predicted how it is going to turn out and what music we are going with.

Today we are going to make a mood board for the lesson and we are going to use photoshop, after that we are going to start the storyboard for our music video

Change of plans

we have decided to change the song once again because we have found out that that song has a music video and now we have decided to change the song back to Beautiful lasers.

What i learnt today

Today we worked on the location and the risk assessment of our music and our main locations are theatre and the rooftop of the school the worst risk at the rooftop would be that if someone falls off while filming. and at the theatre the worst case scenario would be if we break anything and someone gets hurt. there also would be advantages to the locations where we are filming, we are also changing our song to chris brown (Freeze) because it would be more suitable for the dancing and the beat of the song is much more dynamic so it would be much better to sing to as well. 

We chose the rooftop location because we have seen it used in other videos and it looked good so we chose to do the same thing with our video and hopefully that would make it look good and professional music video.

Music Video Planning

Our video is going to be based on the song Lupe Fiasco Beautiful Lasers with me rapping and munashe dancing to the beat. the location we are going to do it is in the theatre because the lighting is good and there is big enough place for us to film and dance.  we have decided to film the rapping bit on top of the school building and we might use a green screen if one is available, we are also going to use effects with the lights and have a guitar for effects. today i have learnt how we can use effects and the music which we can use in our music video.

Today i have learnt the 3 types of music videos and whats the difference between them and how they can be identified, i also learnt how to lip sync and also tried singing a song. i found my 3 videos and reviewed them on blogger and showed the difference between the 3. i also worked in a group to find a music without a video so that we can work on it and hopefully make a music video for that song and make sure that it fits it perfectly and is apporiate for that particular song.

The video is about a man who's girlfriend left him and now he is trying to get her to come back to her and in the video he camps at the corner of the street where they met for the first time and the video is kind of like a message to her that if you see this on the news then come to the place where they met for the first time. in the video everyone tells him to go home and he is trying to show that he is that motivated that he don't want to go home.

This is a performance video where they play the sound as the band and the music is related with the speed of the sound and they have shown this by the massive lights in the background which race down and they have linked this with the title of the song, the video looks amazing and they haven't used a lot of camera angles because it is a band performance and they did not need alot of camera angles.

FatBoy Slim Weapon of Choice Review

The video is made to seem like it was filmed in the olden days and the video is about a kind of a depressed man who is sitting on a chair alone and then the music plays and he suddenly feels lively and starts to get up and starts to dance to the music, they have used an elderly person to show this as they are the people who are least in the mood for a party. The video is protraying that when listening to their music the person becomes almost young again and he starts to enjoy his life when before he was sitting there in boredom. The video is shot in kind of black and white colours to show that in those days they had nothing to do for fun and when he listens to the music then he becomes really lively.

Florance and the machine Mise en scene anylysis

The Girl is wearing a white dress which shows that she is pure and her hair is coloured ginger which shows a bright colour, the dress the people are wearing shows that it is shot in the olden times. The location is set in a park where the people are having a picnic. The people are wearing bright and white makeup to show the pureness and her eyes have black make up which kind of shows that she has been crying. The other characters are dancing in circles and they are dancing to the same beat. they have chosen this because they are trying to show that they are all dancing for the same purpose and with the same beat.

They have used the bowls of fruit which are really bright and all of the characters knock over the fruit to show their anger/hate for something. By her body language you can tell that she is angry towards someone and they have used the characters as-well to show this hatred towards that person, and in the end of the video the picnic turns into a funeral where they put florence into sort of a coffin where they float her into the pond as a sort of a funeral this shows that she is prepared to die for the person who she is angry at because he isn't coming.

The lyrics used and the actions used in the video are random and this shows that her feelings are mixed and the other people in the video also show her feelings and she has portrayed her feelings through the randomness of the lyrics and the video. In the whole of the video the other people follow Florence and they do and show her emotions exactly how she shows them.
